Accessible Tier
Solid parkland golf within an hour of Tokyo. Best for high-frequency play, groups on a budget, or adding a casual round to a business trip. Chiba prefecture has the highest concentration.
Premium Tier
Championship conditioning, experienced caddies, refined clubhouse experience. Sodegaura, Narita GC, and Yokohama CC all sit in this range. The recommended sweet spot for most visiting golfers.
Ultra-Premium
Japan Golf Club, Kasumigaseki (Olympic venue, ¥60,000+), and a handful of ultra-private Tokyo clubs. Access requires a member sponsor and advance planning of several months. Teelink Japan has established relationships.
The Tokyo-Area Golf Lunch

Getting to Kanto Courses
Most Tokyo-area courses are 45–90 minutes from the city centre. Hire car is recommended for groups with bags; train + taxi works well for solo or pairs.
From Central Tokyo
Chiba prefecture courses: Joban or Sobu Line to local station, then taxi (15–20 min). Kanagawa courses: Tokaido Line or Yokohama Line, then taxi. Journey times are 60–90 minutes door-to-course.
From Narita Airport
Narita Golf Club and several Chiba courses are within 30 minutes of the airport by hire car. Teelink Japan can arrange seamless airport pickup and direct transfer to your first course.
From Haneda Airport
Haneda serves Kanagawa and western Tokyo courses more efficiently than Narita. Yokohama CC is approximately 40 minutes by hire car from Haneda international terminal.
