Getting to Hokkaido

Domestic flights from Tokyo Haneda take 90 minutes and run frequently on JAL, ANA, and Air Do. Advance-booked fares from approximately ¥8,000 one way. Airport shuttle buses connect New Chitose directly to Niseko (90 min, ¥2,500) during summer season.
Niseko from Airport
Shuttle bus from New Chitose to Niseko takes approximately 90 minutes and costs ¥2,500. Private hire car takes approximately 80 minutes. For golfers with bags, a hire car allows direct arrival at your ryokan or hotel.
Sapporo from Airport
JR Airport Express runs every 15 minutes from New Chitose to Sapporo Station in 37 minutes. Cost: ¥1,150. Sapporo-area courses are typically reached by taxi or hire car in 30–60 minutes from the city.
Best Time to Book
Book Niseko summer tee times 4–6 weeks ahead for July and August. Sapporo-area courses are more flexible. Accommodation at good Niseko properties should be booked 2–3 months ahead for peak summer.
